Barbershop x Treasure Key AMA Recap

Elizabeth Swan- Can you tell the TreasureKey community more about Barbershop and its features and the benefits the partnership between Barbershop and TreasureKey will bring to both communities?
Master Fu- Barbershop is a yield farm with a new spin on the concept. Rather than foods or animals, we are using something everyone knows about- growing hair. With this concept, we have 2 core products- Cuts and Shaves. A cut takes a bit longer. You step into the chair, have to pair your 2 tokens into an LP token, and then start growing your hair. Meanwhile, a shave is much quicker and extremely efficient. With just one token, you deposit this and are instantly able to start earning.
One of the first projects we were working on was implementing games; however, after researching more about TreasureKey we were hooked. TreasureKey has made an efficient and quick way to bring their games into other platforms and the ability to use our token $HAIR with games that had been battle-tested was a no-brainer.
Partnering with Treasure key leads to exposure for both platforms. Our users know who built the games, while other users playing can see members from our community playing. Every time they bet with $HAIR this gets shown in the most recent bets. Additionally, the concept of hair and pirates is very relatable. Think of the endless promotional potential around beards and mustaches and different hairdos!

Eliz Swann- and yes, endless potential for sure! Why are the games called the waiting room?
Master Fu- When you are waiting to get your hair cut or grab a shave, you need something fun to do? What’s the best thing to consume that time? Go play a fun game! When I grew up I used to go to an old barber and he had a pool table to play with while you waited. I think this was the inspiration for the name!
Eliz Swann- pool table? thats so cool. In my country, you get nothing but a seat
Master Fu- It was an old dingy shop but we loved getting our hair cut there
Eliz Swann- I see i see. just curious, why not BSC. Why did you choose polygon to launch on?
Master Fu- Absolutely, definitely a good question because both chains have advantages. Going with Polygon was a no-brainer. Polygon is one of the fastest-growing full-stack scaling Ethereum solutions to date. Their team continues to grow in size and they continue to release updates.
Barbershop is able to benefit from gas fees 1/1000 the price of Ethereum, new blocks created in as little as 2 seconds, and more swift transaction flow. This makes it profitable for everyone to stake, trim, and cut, no matter how much hair you have. There is less of a need for someone to think about the cost/ benefits of trimming
Eliz Swann- It makes sense for farms to be on polygon. Have u guys considered Solana, fantom, ava? They are quite the “hype” recently
Master Fu- I think all chains have their advantage, and maybe at some point in the future, but for now we want to build as much as we can on Polygon. We would rather have the highest quality product on one chain than a subpar product on many chains. There is so much from GameFi to NFTs that is coming to polygon, and we are really excited about the future. Once we grow and have a much bigger team that could become a possibility, but for now it’s not in our roadmap
Eliz Swann- Can you talk about being a BUIDL graduate from Apeswap and your relationship with Apeswap?
Master Fu- We can’t say enough things about apeswap
Apeswap has been nothing but helpful from Day 1. They have one of the strongest teams in all of Defi and their continued growth is witness to them pushing the boundary for Dexes. This was the main reason that attracted us to working with Apeswap right off the bat. Plus hairy monkey memes
Apeswap has helped guide us into best practices for running a yield farm and their help in tokenomics has been instrumental in how we structured our emissions and multipliers. Being able to ask questions to people who have navigated through launching a huge platform is a huge advantage.
Eliz Swann- Most of the new investors, only focus on the price of the token and the short-term benefits of the project rather than understanding the true value of the project. Can you tell us about the motivations and benefits for investors to hold your tokens long-term?
Master Fu- Barbershop is a long-term project. All decisions we make are for the longevity of the project. We think about this when releasing new features, from getting them audited to basing what features we will be working on around community input. You can find our tokenomics here-

By starting with extremely high emissions, early investors are able to benefit as the token will eventually level off to a soft cap. The more mechanisms we can introduce burning hair, the lower this will be. Besides emissions, our barbers are constantly working hard to build partnerships as well as bring more utility to $HAIR! Playing games via Treasure key was our first step to bringing more burning mechanisms to $HAIR and we are working on finalizing the front end integation of our shaves for non native tokens, which brings even more utility.

Stefano Fedele- So many projects just like to speak about the “long term vision and mission” but what are your short terms objectives? What are you focusing right now?
Master Fu- Long-term objectives are really important in getting people to stay with the project, that’s why it’s always a huge focus. That being said, in the short term, we are finalizing our shaves rewarding in non-native tokens. The contracts have been audited, and we are finalizing our testing. We have said since day 1 that user safety is a priority, so we are making sure there are no bugs on release. Following this we have many partnerships for these shaves lined up and plan to continue to partner with strong communities and projects in the Polygon ecosystem. Having these shaves in place will allow us to revamp our tokenomics in a positive way for our shop. Additionally, we are extremely excited to be one of the sponsors at Polycon put on by Polydoge. This event in 2 weeks will allow us to meet many members of the community at our booth as well as network with other projects.
Xiaopei Tubi- How important is the community to you? and how can we collaborate or help you for the development of the project?
Master Fu- Community is by far the most important factor to success in any project. We are trying to build a platform where people enjoy coming to socialize and hang out in addition to using the services we provide. Our admins have been with us since day one and we have continued to received support from community members. Our telegram is always open and we are always looking for more people. If anyone is interested in working with us please shoot me a message with what type of work you are good at and enjoy and what sort of value you can bring to our project and community.
Pierre Paulo- Your project name seems to be very interesting. Does it have any story behind it? Can you share us with the inspiration for approaching to this name?
Master Fu- Barbershop was thought up in April. The concept of farming has always been a somewhat difficult subject for people to understand. We were hoping if we could relay it to something people knew that we might be able to get people to have a better grasp on allocating your assets more efficiently through yield farming. Hair is something that grows back when you cut it. The longer you keep your hair in a shave or cut the longer it grows, then when you go visit the shop you start over and grow again. A shave is quick and efficient (one coin), a cut meanwhile requires you to pair 2 coins together. Down the road we would like to take this concept and have specific names for different farms. perhaps everyone can grow as sick of a fu manchu as myself, although we might have to kirate for it!
Trader Master- Many projects start but get stuck along the way, could you tell me if you plan to stay active and offer projects and opportunities to the community in the long term?
Master Fu- There are always roadblocks. There is a lot we didn’t anticipate launching this token. It’s a crazy experience the moment you deploy the contracts, but we have adapted and are leveraging the community to improve our products everyday. I think what people will realize when they seen our site is we aren’t good with being simple clone. Our focus is on an extremely clean (like your shave) experience. We have dedicated a lot of time to make this project and the more time we feel we put into it the easier it will be to get future partnerships and develop innovative features!
